Advent
Advent means “arrival,” and each week of this season highlights something beautiful that Jesus brought into the world when He was born: hope, peace, joy, and love. The second week of advent highlights the idea of peace. All throughout His earthly ministry, Jesus would look into the eyes of someone He had healed or helped and say, “Go in peace.” These weren’t casual parting words. They were His way of naming what had just happened—a holy encounter that left a person different on the inside. Repeatedly, Jesus showed that the peace He offered mattered even more than the physical healing they received. The true miracle was not merely changed circumstances, but a heart brought back into harmony with God.
